NASCAR Betting Season Just Weeks Away

With a new season, a few new drivers, a few new rules and some driver swaps, the story lines –and NASCAR betting lines- should be as interesting as they’ve been in years. Last year’s defending champ Jimmie Johnson is no stranger to entering the NASCAR betting season in this position as he’s done it three straight years, equaling a feat that only the great Cale Yarborough ever accomplished in bet on NASCAR action. Johnson still has the best team in the NASCAR betting, one of the best cars and is undoubtedly one of the best in the game. There is little reason to think that he won’t be favorite to bring home the NASCAR betting driving once again in 2009.

One of the more interesting storylines featuring a top NASCAR betting driver involves former driving champ Tony Stewart’s foray into car ownership. He abandoned the Gibbs racing team during the off season and will start the 2009 NASCAR betting season as owner/driver for his own team –the odds will not be in his favor.

The driver that could draw the most attention this year will be Stewart’s replacement at Gibbs Racing, Joey Logano. Logano is barely old enough to buy cigarettes but has proven that he has what it takes to win in NASCAR betting and will have the support of one of the best teams in the sport behind him.
